Qantas International Network Update

✈️ Qantas Announces Temporary Network Changes for April–July 2026

More Flights to Europe + Adjustments to Brisbane Services

Qantas has announced a series of temporary updates to its international schedule as it reallocates aircraft to support increased demand for travel between Australia and Europe. These changes will roll out progressively from 20 April through to 26 July 2026, pending government and regulatory approval.

If you’re planning a European getaway or travelling through Brisbane during this period, here’s what you need to know.

🌍 More Flights Connecting Australia to Europe

To help meet strong demand for European travel during the Northern Hemisphere summer, Qantas is boosting capacity on several key routes.

Perth → Rome

  • Increasing from up to 4 return flights per week

  • To up to daily flights in June and July

Perfect timing for travellers heading to Italy during peak season.

Sydney → Singapore → Paris

  • Increasing from 3 return flights per week

  • To up to 5 flights per week

All flights will originate in Sydney and operate via Singapore, offering more flexibility for travellers heading to France.

Perth → Singapore

  • From 21 May to 26 July, flights increase from daily to 10 per week

  • Timed to connect smoothly with Qantas’ Singapore–Paris services

This creates more seamless options for travellers connecting through Asia to Europe.

Perth → London

  • Qantas will continue operating its daily Perth–London service via Singapore

  • The London–Perth return flight will operate direct, offering a faster journey home

🇦🇺 Temporary Adjustments to Brisbane Services

To support the expanded European schedule, Qantas is making short‑term changes to some Brisbane routes.

Brisbane → Los Angeles

  • Sales temporarily paused for:

    • Sunday flights from 26 April to 17 May

    • All flights from 18 May to 26 July

  • Premium Economy not available from 18 May to 26 July due to an aircraft change

  • Affected customers have been reaccommodated via Sydney, where Premium Economy remains available

Brisbane → Auckland

  • Select flights between 26 April and 26 July have been paused from sale for up to 24 hours

  • Some services will operate without Premium Economy during this period

🔄 What Travellers Should Expect

These temporary adjustments may result in:

  • Different flight numbers

  • Changes to aircraft type

  • Day‑of‑week schedule shifts

Qantas is contacting impacted customers directly and rebooking where needed.
