The Savoy Exterior.jpg

Things happen differently at the Savoy. When you’ve been an icon of British luxury for centuries, you can get away with certain idiosyncrasies

such as legally enforcing that drivers use the right lane in your driveway, or making sure that Marlene Dietrich's old suite always has a bouquet of 12 pink roses.

Yes, there’s history here, and once you’re past the doormen and into the hotel’s black and white lobby, you’re in another world. Winston Churchill loved the place, insisting that the members of his dining society, “ The Other Club” meet here every fortnight (they still do).

Of course, its instantly iconic buildings and palaces like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace are instantly recognisable and all deserving to have everyone taking multiple selfies in front of each! The red telephone boxes, double-decker buses and black cabs are as equally as iconic.

If you like indulging in some retail therapy – London is a shopping mecca that must be explored. Bond Street is a must as is Harrods and Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge where Eddie and Patsy from Ab Fab prefer to shop! London is passionate about its art scene. Galleries, street art, sculptures and installations are adorned all over the city. East London is always a favourite part to explore. Boxpark in Shoreditch and the weekly Brick Lane Markets are always a must! At night there is nothing better than grabbing a beautiful dinner and a drink at one of the many chic bars before seeing a show on the West End.
