MIXED CLASS

LUXURY TRAVEL PLANNER REVIEW
Last year we flew to Helsinki on one of Finnair’s Airbus 350 aircrafts – Finnair has one of the biggest fleets of modern aircrafts in Europe today. Flying the A350 is sublime. We left from Bangkok on a return ticket that the fare too good to pass up. It was our first time flying Finnair and we experienced their amazing Nordic Business Class and Finnish service on each flight. One of our favourite designers is Marimekko and her timeless and bold designs have been an integral part of the Finnair air travel experience – this was one of the reasons that we wanted to fly them.
From aircraft liveries (not that we flew on one) to tableware and textiles, Marimekko’s iconic patterns create a harmonious atmosphere while airborne and make for wonderful photos to post on Instagram. While talking Finnish design, it would be remiss of me not to mention ‘Iittala’, the Finnish glassware and kitchenware company that has created the most sensational glassware while on-board.
It is no surprise that we had to purchase several sets on our return leg back to Bangkok. While flying you become accustomed to having the latest LED lighting technology that can emit a colour range of up to 16.8 million different colours. The lighting and colours can be customized to fit the time of day, destination or season including their depiction of the Northern Lights. For the duration we feasted on Nordic delicacies and carefully selected wines. There was always crew around ready and willing to serve you anything you needed. But our highlight was discovering the Finnish Gin - Kyro Napue that they serve with berries and rosemary. It makes the best gin and tonic! We can’t wait to fly them again – for the price and service they offer – you will find it difficult to beat them. Flying domestically in Europe is also wonderful from check-in to the ground staff – nothing is ever too much trouble. The A350 aircraft are currently in use on their routes between Helsinki and Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore and Tokyo.
