Take a bite out of the Apple Isle! You will wish you had more time to discover this absolutely beautiful natural paradise at the remote edge of the earth – it is a land of hidden valleys, prehistoric rainforests and craggy coastlines that reveal testaments to an ancient past. The wonders of nature await you on your Tasmania adventure. From the vivid hues of the Southern Lights to the tantrums of the Tasmanian Devil, there is something for everyone.  

DAY 1

​​On arrival, we will travel a short distance from central Launceston to the Country Club Tasmania. This is surrounded by exquisite gardens, lakes and bushland. This idyllic resort is an ideal base for exploring the Tamar Valley wine-making region.

You will enjoy a free day to make the most of your country club experience. You may decide to catch a round of golf or simply sit back and unwind and take in the breathtaking landscape.

Please note - this is only for clients arriving on Saturday 7 December.

DAY 2

Today we will pick up everyone else from the airport before heading to Hellyers Road. This is where you will sample some of the exceptional whisky products that Tasmania has to offer, also along the way we will have a quick stop where you can try from local Cheeses and Chocolates at Ashgrove Cheese farm and Anvers Chocolates.

You will have tastings of Hellyers Road Single Malt range, Southern Lights Vodka and their heart-warming Whisky Cream range. It is simply superb!

Lunch will be severed with Coffee and Tea.

We will then head to Cradle Mountain.

On the way we will stop at Guide Falls – hopefully, we will have the chance to see a Platypus in its natural environment.

We will then continue on to Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge - situated in Cradle Mountain’s Lake St Clair National Park. This contemporary lodge is the perfect base for relaxing or a visit to Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village which is just up the road.

We kick off the evening with an early dinner at Cradle Mountain Lodge before heading to Ronny Creek in the National Park to begin our evening exploration. Weather permitting, we will leave the bus with our hand-held torches (or head torches) for a slow walk into the Mount Kate hut area in the hope to view some animals in their natural habitat at night.

DAY 3

​​​There are over 20 different self-guided walking tracks around Cradle Mountain & Dove Lake, ranging from 20 minutes to 9 hours.

Please make sure you let a member of staff know which walk you will be going on before leaving Peppers, 
If you have a preference to do one of the majestic walks they have to offer.

 

There will also be a group walk – this is limited to only 20 people. This will be a 3 hour walk with a packed lunch to enjoy during our expedition.

You might prefer to enjoy your time at Pepper Cradle Mountain and take advantage of booking yourself in for a lux spa treatment.

Please make sure you are back at the Lodge my 6:30pm as dinner will be served at 7pm.

DAY 4

​​Today we will come up close and personal with some of Australia’s wildlife at Tasmania Zoo.

We will then spend the rest of the day tasting some of the best wines that Tasmania has to offer at Jansz and Tamar Ridge wineries. A light lunch will be offered at both venues.

We will then head back to the hotel to freshen up and conclude the day with dinner at Cataract on Paterson.

DAY 5

​​Today you will visit one of the world's most beautiful beaches at the Bay of Fires. We will be departing from Launceston and travelling through rainforests and farmlands on the North East of Tasmania. We will then enjoy a picnic lunch in an idyllic setting at Crystal Azure Blue Waters. You will be enchanted with the pristine white beaches and outcrops of orange lichen-covered granite rocks. The scenery at the Bay of Fires is simply breathtaking – so please don’t forget your cameras. This tour takes you through some of the most beautiful locations in Tasmania, from the green rolling hills and fertile farmlands around Lilydale and Scottsdale to the temperate rainforest of the Weldborough Pass.

DAY 6

It is well worth the early morning wake-up today as we will be visiting the world-famous Coles Bay and taking in Wine Glass Bay from the lookout.
 

Lunch will be served at the famous Freycinet Marine Farm where you will served some of the freshest seafood that Australia has to offer.


It is an hour hike up to the lookout and you will then have the chance to do the 4 hour hike to the world famous Wine Glass Bay if you choose.

Dinner will served at 
Freycinet Lodge, with breathtaking views of Coles Bay.

We will then drive to Hobart and stay at the beautiful Grand Chancellor Hotel.

DAY 7

In the monring we will meet in the lobby for the planned amazing race – this will be a lot of fun! During the race, everyone will have the chance to explore Hobart in a challenge against your peers. You will learn about Australian culture and this will be followed by lunch.

 

In the afternoon we head to the world-famous Mona Art museum. This is what has put Hobart on the world map. You are in for a treat and this is where we will be having dinner.

DAY 8

Start the morning off with an optional tour at the Salamanca Markets. This is one of Australia’s most vibrant and loved outdoor markets.  

We then begin our Bruny Island culinary adventure. We will take a 15-minute ferry trip over to the Island.

Once on the island, we will visit, the cheese factory before moving onto the local oyster company. We will learn about harvesting practices and have the opportunity to snap photos of the fields and taste some freshly shucked at our tables.

Next, we move onto Berry Farm. This is where you can pick yourself (in season) and then drink some berry tea before heading out on a short walk along the coastline to Two Tree Point. At a nearby nature reserve, we will search for the rare white wallaby, native birds, and echidnas.

We will refuel with lunch at one of the wineries on the island – this will come with your choice of a glass of wine. We will have the opportunity to tour the vineyards and taste samples, followed by local chocolate at our next stop. The boutique chocolate purveyor is where we will learn about how their chocolates are made. We will then continue the sweet streak at the local honey company. This is where we will meet the beekeepers, see the hives, and learn about the honey harvesting process.

Before leaving we will head out to the Neck. This is where you can walk along the sand spit and dip your feet in the water. Capture the epic views of the Truganini Memorial and toast your delicious, educational tour with a glass of Tasmanian whiskey from a local distillery.

We will be having our farewell Dinner at the Grand Chancellor Hobart.

DAY 9

This is our final day of the tour. The buses will be leaving at 6am, 8am, 11am and 7pm to take you to the airport to join your flights.
